As a young girl, I grew up involved in rodeo, O-Mok-See, trail rides, and many hunting excursions in the back country. My dad did not have any sons, so bucking bales, fixing fence, building barns, etc… were part of the usual routine. Mom taught me to sew, cook, clean and countless crafts. I have the best of both worlds … “Jack of all trades and Master of none” .
I spent over 25 years involved with the Last Chance Stampede and Parade Committee (typing with a MANUAL typewriter the parade line up! Ugh!!) and am honored to have been the first female parade marshal. I continue to attend Montana Mule Days each year in June, honoring my dad’s memory with the Montana Longears Association.
Upon graduation from Helena High School, I later attended Carroll College with emphasis in Business and Sociology.
I am a mom of many and grandmother to just as many, plus one more. My children and grandchildren are first and foremost in my life. I adore each milestone and bittersweet moment we take and share together.
